Violin Teacher - Biography

Jon Feller, Instructor

Jon Feller has been playing violin and viola for 25 years. His teachers include Humberto Oran of the Madrid Opera, Rami Solomonow of De Paul University, and Sarah Gentry of Illinois State University. He completed a degree in viola performance from Northeastern Illinois University in 1991 and did graduate work in viola and conducting at Illinois State University from 1991 - 1995. He was a member of the Peoria Symphony and played in the Illinois Symphony Orchestra from 1991 - 1995.

He continues studying violin and pedagogy with Stacia Spencer of Northwestern University.

Jon began teaching violin and viola in 1992, and started the Andersonville Suzuki Academy in 1998.

Recently he was a faculty member in 2006 at the Bowdacious String Band Summer Camp in Champaign-Urbana.
