Private lessons

Private lessons are scheduled on an individual basis M – F. Lessons begin at half an hour for Book I. Parental education takes place during part of the initial lessons.

Students in Books II and III have lessons of 45 minutes
Students in Book IV and beyond have lessons of 1 hour

Group lessons

The group environment allows students to play with and be motivated by their peers. Group classes concentrate on fiddling, world music and music games. The fun of group class and frequent performance opportunities help make the goal of daily practice achievable. Everyone is welcome to visit a group class to see how other students play and to speak with other parents about the program.

Group meets an average of three times per month on Sundays at North Shore Baptist Church, 5244 N. Lakewood (2 blocks west of Broadway at Berwyn).

Beginners meet from 4 – 5
Students who can play Minuet II and beyond meet from 4 – 5:30
